Our school affirms each child with love and seeks to instill Christ-centered values. We strive to help our students excel in learning and develop relationships with one another. Children are taught letters, numbers, colors and shapes. They’re exposed to the beauty of art and music. We emphasize the development of skills needed to enter Kindergarten and to not only perform well, but excel.

Emphasis

Our theme Bible verse is 2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!” What’s taught here will lay a spiritual foundation in your child’s heart that will last a lifetime.

Loving Attention

The small student-to-teacher ratios at our preschool ensure that each child receives personalized attention and care. Children are a special creation of God and our staff values the moments to help each child fulfill their true potential.

Spiritual Foundation

Weekly chapel services engage children in Biblical accounts from Creation to the Resurrection. It’s not uncommon for parents to tell us that their children learned how to pray the Lord’s Prayer from the time spent in our preschool.

Learning Foundations

Our littles are introduced to numbers 1-10 as well as letters in the traditionally chronological order of A-Z. These learning foundations are reinforced through books, songs and teacher-led activities.

Social & Emotional Growth

In addition to academics, we focus on each child’s social and emotional growth by strengthening their understanding of community and helping each child to be more than prepared for the transition to Kindergarten. Pre-K children learn on three levels: Large group time, small group time and individually.

Concrete Learning

Classes offer rotating centers and a variety of manipulative activities that make learning concrete. Our preschoolers explore the guided science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) Center. There is ample recess time to play outside; and enjoy large motor activities during “Music and Movement”. The beginning and end of year assessments gauging each child’s academic development is monitored.

New Creations

New Creations Preschool provides a warm and caring Christ centered environment for your child to learn and grow. Our low student to teacher ratios allows us to focus on each child’s cognitive, social and emotional maturity, in addition to their spiritual and physical growth. Each class offers age appropriate activities to assist in literacy and mathematic development, from a variety of resources. Pre-K teachers utilize a variety of materials into the classroom to help children achieve academic readiness. Our curriculum includes:

Preschool Ministry

Our preschool is a ministry of Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church, a member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS). Our church has long held the education of children in great regard. Today, LCMS churches across the nation host more than 1,100 preschools and Early Childhood Centers serving more than 81,000 children from infants to 5 years of age. The LCMS operates more schools than any other church body in the country.

Children of New Creations Preschool are part of a rich and enduring legacy of Christian education that dates back well over a century. Our church and school are committed to instilling values and teaching the young what it means to be a child of God. Your children are important to us and we strive to uphold a strong Christian atmosphere in our lessons and music. We work hand in hand with our parents to be partners in their child’s early Christian academic life.

Staff

Our trained and dedicated teachers are required to complete pre-service training offered by Campfire USA and Texas A&M Agrilife. To ensure your child’s safety, all teachers undergo a thorough background check and are CPR and American Red Cross First Aid certified. We also attend a Lutheran sponsored Early Childhood Education seminar for up-to-date teaching techniques. We are part of the Missouri Synod Lutheran schools system and we abide by their standards for teaching.

New Creations

We build an awareness of self, family and community. We also assist in distinguishing shapes, colors and directional concepts using teacher guided arts and crafts as well as manipulatives and flash cards.

Our littles are introduced to numbers 1-10 and letters in the traditionally chronological order of A-Z each week. These learning foundations will be reinforced through books, songs and teacher led activities. Our program includes in-house field trips, graduations, holiday celebrations, music class and much more.

Registration

Registration for the school year begins in February for existing students and the first week of March for new registrations.

Ready for Kindergarten

All three of my kids have attended New Creations Preschool. The teachers are some of the sweetest people and love the kids like their own. They are more than ready for Kindergarten when they finish preschool with Sally Cook and Christina Martin. When kindergarten does their assessments at the beginning of the year, my kids have always scored high and always ahead by being at mid-year goals. It always amazes me how much my kids are reading by the middle of the year in pre-K. I always recommend New Creations to everyone I know!

New Creations Preschool has being an absolute blessing to our family. Our son, Alex, attended the Pre-K for 5 year olds class. Mrs. Sally and Mrs. Christina were amazing teachers. They were so loving, kind, encouraging, and made learning fun. Alex was able to learn so much in just two days a week. They worked on sight words, letters and sounds, adding, counting, and so much more. He was even starting to read by the end of the year. He had a great foundation going into kindergarten. He was the first kid in his kindergarten class to be able to identify his upper and lower case letters. I highly recommend New Creations Preschool to anyone. It is a great environment for your child to learn and grow.

Our children have all LOVED their experiences at New Creations Preschool. They have had phenomenal, loving and excellent teachers. They've benefitted from the small class sizes, the music, and art activities, the creative play and the level of education received. They've been loved, challenged to grow, and encouraged all along the way. Plus they are becoming more familiar with Bible stories and participating in the weekly chapel service that is specially designed to engage and teach young ones some basics of Christian faith. I can't say enough good things about New Creations Preschool.

New Creations Preschool (NCPS) is a great place for children to learn about God and developing the skills they need to be successful in kindergarten. NCPS does a masterful job of combining the two elements by having chapel every Wednesday where the children participate in donating food for the local food shelter along with their classroom lessons including Bible stories. The classes are small so the children receive one on one attention each day and most classes have two teachers. The teachers are amazing especially Mrs. Sally who teaches the final year before entering kindergarten. I was overwhelmed when I walked into the classroom at the end of the day & heard my granddaughter reading a story for the 1st time. The teachers listen, welcome feedback and work very hard to respond accordingly. I would not send my grandchildren anywhere else.

New Creations Preschool is one of the best in the DFW area. The preschool director Mrs. Mary is one of the sweetest souls I’ve ever been blessed to meet. The teachers are absolutely AMAZING and go above and beyond helping to prepare the students with manners and education. Our son was blessed to be placed in Mrs. Sally and Mrs. Christina’s class. They are PERFECTION. They encouraged him and made sure he was confident in himself going into Kindergarten but, they also loved him as he was their own and made sure he knew he was loved. He ALWAYS looked forward to Monday’s and Wednesday’s because he got to spend the day with them. When we enrolled him at New Creations he couldn’t spell his name, couldn’t recognize letters or numbers and could not read. This year our son is testing ABOVE average for his district and excelling more than we could have ever hoped for.

In addition to all that children also get to learn about spiritual education as well. They go to chapel on Wednesday’s to listen to Pastor give a small sermon and learn about church service manners and all about Jesus and how wonderful he is. They are taught to have a giving heart by bringing canned food for local shelters as an “offering for Jesus” as my son called it. Because of this Our son now knows all of the books of the Bible, multiple bible stories, songs, and so much more.

We can’t say enough positive things about New Creations. If you are thinking about enrolling your child here.DO IT you will not regret your decision.

If you are looking for a Christ centered preschool, New Creations is a great choice. The teachers there are very caring and love the children like their own. My two oldest boys have gone there and loved it and learned so much and I plan on putting my younger two in as soon as they’re old enough. I highly recommend this preschool.

Our son went to New Creations Pre-School, and it was such a blessing for our family. Kindergarten has been a breeze due to all of Ms Sally’s hard work in preparing him for it. Every teacher at New Creations is warm and inviting, and has a heart to love the whole child. They truly create inviting atmospheres that are both nurturing and educational. I highly recommend this preschool!

New Creations Preschool has been such a blessing to our family. Ms. Sally and the staff go above and beyond for the children. Not knowing what to expect in a new community, we were welcomed and immediately knew this was our place! Both of my boys were well prepared and above average for Kindergarten, especially in reading. I loved the small class sizes. The Bible based curriculum and chapel was top priority and I loved getting to know the teachers, classmates, and parents. Great memories!

Safety

Security

To be on our campus during school hours, both school and church staff must pass a background check with FleetScreen. Our doors remain locked during hours of school operation. Four video cameras also keep watch over campus. Teachers are trained in lockdown procedures, fire drills and age appropriate CPR.

In & out Procedures

Children are signed in and out each day by parents or parental designees. Doors open at 8:55 AM for drop off and 1:55 PM for pick up and remain locked throughout the school day. Please call ahead for any changes in schedule. Sign In and out sheets are located outside individual classrooms.

Tours for prospective parents and students are by appointment only. Parents may schedule tours by contacting our Director, Brittany Perkins.
